Terms and Conditions

These Terms apply to the use of our website (www.dalston.co.nz) (“Website”).  Please read these Terms carefully.  If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use our Website or purchase products from us.  These Terms supersede any other agreement, terms or conditions (written or otherwise) included with any purchase order.

In these Terms the expressions “us”, “we”, “our” and “Dalston.co.nz” (including “Dalston”) are a reference to our online store, reference to “you” is the Customer.


Eligibility to Purchase

The purchase of products from dalston.co.nz is limited only to parties who can enter into and form contracts in accordance with New Zealand law. Customers must provide their real name, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information. When providing payment details, customers must warrant that the payment details provided are theirs and are both valid and correct. Dalston.co.nz. is only available to customers who meet our terms of eligibility. Purchases made are for personal use only and must not be resold or used for commercial benefit. Dalston.co.nz reserves the right to decline multiple quantities to one customer or address.



All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars and are current at the time of display.  These prices are subject to change without notice.


Orders and Purchases

Payment can be made by Visa and Mastercard as well as Paypal.  Payment will be cleared from your account upon receipt of your order.  The credit card you are using must be yours.  All credit card/debit holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer.  If the issuer of the payment method refuses to authorize the payment, dalston.co.nz will not be held responsible for any non-delivery.

When an order is received, you will receive a confirmation email.  Orders will not be dispatched until payment has been received in full and dalston.co.nz is satisfied with the integrity of the order.


Cancellation policy

Dalston reserves the right to cancel any order at anytime.

Because all the orders made are processed immediately, the cancellation of a submitted order is not accepted, so make sure you are certain you want to buy your items before submitting your order.

Dalston.co.nz takes every precaution to make our site as secure as possible. We use the secure Hosted Payment Page solution from DPS to process online orders. Customers can see their cards being authorized and debited in real time, all in an SSL secure environment. The Hosted Payment Page enables us to offer customers a safe and speedy online shopping experience.

 SSL is used to encrypt and protect the data you send us over the internet to ensure that your details are safe.  We do not hold any payment details on record.

When we transmit sensitive information (such as a credit card numbers) over the internet we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Credit card details stored on site are encrypted using 168bit 3DES encryption. DPS is also certified AIS compliant.


Stock Availability

If an item is out of stock upon order, you will be contacted and informed of the expected delivery date.  If the item is no longer available, dalston.co.nz reserves the right to cancel the order and, if required, provide a refund (please refer to our refunds policy).


Sizing Guide

While most of us know what size we wear it can occasionally be confusing remembering international size guidelines.  To help you determine your size we have provided a size chart.  If you are unhappy with a chosen size you can return the item to us (please refer to our returns policy).



When you order, the shopping cart automatically presents you with the freight charge depending on what country the items are to be delivered to.  

Orders placed will be processed within standard working hours of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).  All orders received outside of these times will be processed on the following working day.

Any delivery times are an approximate guide only.

Delivery cannot be made to a PO Box number.

Please add 2 – 3 extra days to any delivery times for rural areas.

Shipping charges include a tracking number and insurance.  An email will be sent with these details once your order has been placed and accepted.



Dalston.co.nz ships internationally. Orders are sent by DHL Express Track & Trace courier service to most countries. 

When converting prices to another currency or when an item is charged to a credit card, a slight price variation of between 2 and 5% may occur due to fluctuating exchange rates and credit card company charges. We take no responsibility for charges incurred at receivers end after sending the parcel as this can vary depending on the rules of customs in each country.

Title for merchandise shipped internationally will pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier


Import Charges

If you are purchasing anything from our website and you live outside of New Zealand please be aware of any import duties and taxes that may be charged on delivery into your country. 

These charges depend on your country's import legislation and are not covered by Dalston or Dalston.co.nz. 

If these taxes are imposed, the approximate delivery time may be affected. 

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; contact your local customs office for more information.



Dalston Ltd. endeavors to meet all obligations required by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

If you require an exchange, or wish to return an item for a refund, please contact customercare@dalston.co.nz within 7 days of receiving your purchase.  You will be sent an email containing a Returns Authorisation number and instructions on returning the garment. (Please note that refunds will not be accepted without a Returns Authorisation number).  

Please package the garment carefully and return via Track and Trace courier to: Dalston, 481 Richmond Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand

Once you have been sent a Returns Authorisation number, the item must be sent back to us within 14 days to be eligible for a refund. 

Any costs incurred for the return shipping of an item is your responsibility as the customer, unless the garment is faulty or incorrect.

All items must be returned unused, unwashed and unaltered with all original tags attached. Dalston.co.nz reserves the right to refuse to provide a refund or exchange if these requirements are not met (except as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993). 

Once the product is received and has undergone a quality control check to ensure the product has not been worn and that the tags are still in place, the purchasing amount will be credited to the purchaser's credit card.  This will be done within 7 days of receipt of the items.

When providing an exchange of an item, the replacement item will be shipped at no cost to you.   Free shipping on an exchange item is only valid for the first exchange of an item. In the event of any further exchanges on the same original purchase, you may be required to pay shipping charges.

If you request a refund we will contact you to discuss how this will be arranged.  

Any refunds processed to an international credit card will be done using the exchange rate on the day the refund is processed. Dalston.co.nz takes no responsibility for any difference between the refund rate and the rate that the initial purchase was processed at.

Please note: There are no refunds or exchanges on sale goods.


Colour Representation

While we try and ensure all details and descriptions which appear on the website are accurate, colour descriptions are a representation only.  Colours may appear slightly different depending on your monitor.  Please contact info@dalston.co.nz if you require any further information or details on a particular item.

To ensure your order has the best possible chance of making it to yourself or a loved one over Christmas, please ensure you place your order before the dates below.

Refunds and exchanges will be available for faulty goods ordered over the Internet, but please be aware that our office is closed from 23 December - 8 January so any exchanges will be handled after 8 January. 

If you're unsure about sizing or colours, remember you also have the option of sending a voucher so the recipient can choose for themselves. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please note:  Dalston gift vouchers purchased in store cannot be accepted online.



Personal information is only collected through this site that is necessary to process and complete an order. No personal information will be distributed to any third parties that are not directly involved with the processing of an order.

These Terms and this Website are governed by, and are to be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of New Zealand.

We reserve the right to alter, modify or update these Terms at any time, and it is your responsibility to monitor our website for changes.  Accordingly, while these Terms apply to this order, please do not assume the same terms will apply to future orders.  You can view the most current version of these Terms at any time on our website.
